"Like broken mirrors..."

The mirrors of her eyes fall softly closed,
For mirrors cannot reflect in the dark.
Who needs to see what they've already seen,
When they've already seen all ever meant to see?

The mirrors of her eyes fall softly closed,
For mirrors need not reflect when they're alone.
They hide what they must, and bury what they can,
For these eyes stand guard the gates of her soul.

But, oh, how those eyes wished they weren't alone,
Staring thoughtfully at the artificial cracked sky.
The mirrors, the gates, they all fall closed.
For it is all that she hopes, all that she prays,
That closed is what they will stay.
Inspired by "Broken Mirrors" by Rise Against.

Another one of my bad attempts at poetry...I'm don't really know if I like how this turned out. I wrote about the first six or so lines, and then got completely stuck. I actually wrote the rest of it out about six times, all completely differently (the longest version was about 17 lines total haha), but...gahh I don't even know why I'm putting this up here, it's terrible :P Constructive critisicm appreciated :)

I just realized how SHORT this poem is, haha. Randommmm :P

Thanks for wasting your time to read this! :) :P haha
